Homemade Protein Bar using Whey Protein

These homemade protein bars are a delicious and nutritious snack that are perfect for fueling your workouts or satisfying your hunger between meals!


  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (such as almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  • 1/2 cup whey protein powder
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup almond butter or peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries or raisins
  • 1/4 cup water


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, chopped nuts, and whey protein powder.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the honey, almond butter or peanut butter, and water until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture over the dry mixture and stir until everything is well combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and dried cranberries or raisins.
  6. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared baking pan, making sure it's evenly distributed.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares or bars.
  9. Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
